Hello everyone,
It's been a bit since we've updated everyone on what is happening here at Sorry Dog and we thought we'd take a moment and
update you with the latest news. HURT has finally been released to mixed reviews all over the world. Some of the reviews
say that I should have stuck to being an extra in the film business and just kept my mouth shut and never given directing
a shot. On the other hand, some
of the reviews have been very good and it seems that some of the people checking out the
film get the point we were trying to make.
I think some of the DVDs out on the market have an added feature with some
commentary I put down and I've been told it's some pretty interesting stuff. Actually, some of the people like my talking
about making an independent film more than they like my making the thing. Go figure... Nonetheless, it is everywhere and
anywhere you can find a DVD for sale. Blockbuster, Netflix, Borders, Barnes and Noble and so on all have copies for sale
or they can order it. There are even copies on E Bay so no excuses for not checking out the film sooner or later. We never
intended it to be a blockbuster hit or some A list film. It is what it is. We can hope for the best but make no mistake
about it, the film is exactly how we wanted it to be. I dare say that we would not have done much different had we had
millions of dollars to make the film. Well, we might have had better food and drink on set but the cold pizza and sprite
was more than enough.
We have another film releasing this Winter and it's "Of the Flesh" which we are very excited about as well.
A lot of the same cast in this film and a totally different type of film but still yet it has the Sorry Dog feel
in that it still belongs at a drive-inn on the double feature. We are in the middle of editing with "Sorority House Slaughter #7"
and this film is going to be a fun one to watch no matter where you see it. Lots of women and lots of running and killing.
Just the right mixture for a good time at the picture show. We have been working on some Turkle Films things as well and
will be showing some new stuff to the world here very soon.
Thanks for all the comments on the guest book and the site is going to start being much more interactive here very soon.
We are going to try some new things and see what happens so please let us know your thoughts on some of the things we do.

MARCH 2007
First of all, let me say thanks for hanging in there with us for this last year.
If you're coming to the site and checking out things, you are either an actor looking for work,
someone who has worked with us before, or someone trying to get some information because you are
thinking about working with us. Either way, you are a friend and we really do appreciate you taking
the time to stop by the site.
We know the site has been down a lot and we've had it down so we could work on it. At this point,
we are going to just leave it up and work on it with it being up so don't be surprised if the page
changes while you are reading them. There is going to be some really cool flash work on the main
page and we already have some hidden links on the main page that lead you to places like our guestbook and forum.
There is also a hidden counter on there somewhere. Might take a bit to find them but the main point is,
the site is up and changing daily.
You will also see that we have started something called "Turkle Films ". It's basically our way to keep honoring
Reese (my son) in this business. I'm gonna continue to write and direct really demented horror films but "Turkle "
is a completely different direction for us.
There are new trailers up, we are seeking actors for the new
projects and we are also seeking some material in the "Turkleman" Documentary we are doing. Be sure to check out
the new links and enjoy.
So thanks for checking out the site and the new look. We are here to stay this time. No matter what happens,
we will not quit.
All the best as always,
Scott & Kim
JANUARY 2007
Hello there everyone and happy holidays.
Welcome to our news and happy new year from all of us here at Sorry Dog. This is going to be a good year here and we guarantee it and
promise our money back return if it is not. What do you have to loose with a deal like that. Go ahead and invest into the new year
and keep your head up.
Just got word this morning there is possibility of HURT getting a theatrical release so we are very excited about that.
I listed all the credits on the IMDB and a few other places so those of you involved will be online here very soon with
your credits listed. It's been a long ride for this film but it looks like it is finally going to see the light of day.
We also listed all the credits for "Of the Flesh" and "Sorority House Slaughter #7" as well on the IMDB so be sure to check it.
We have a couple new projects in development here and we look to start casting on our new projects early next month.
One of the films will shoot this Winter while the other film will shoot in the early Spring. Those of you interested in working with
us should e-mail a headshot to sorrydogfilms@yahoo.com along with a letter describing yourself and be sure to send us a resume so we can see some of the things you have done. You need not be a seasoned professional to work with us either. Just send in your materials if interested.
Thanks to everyone for all the e-mails concerning Reese and we want you to know they mean a lot to us as. We appreciate all the prayers and Reese is going to continue to fight as his hero Rocky does everyday. Reese is certainly an inspiration to us all and quite the trooper. I am constantly amazed at his strength and it makes me very proud to be his dad.
The new trailer for "Sorority House Slaughter #7" will be up some time next week and we invite you to check that out as well. This film was so much fun and such a wild ride there in Virginia City.
We've been in low gear for the last little bit but things are picking back up so be sure to check back in and sign the guestbook when you stop by. We want to know who you are and leave an e-mail address so we can keep you posted on things. Even if you have something that isn't so nice to say, feel free to voice out and let us know.
Happy New Year once again and we look forward to a great one.
All the best,
Scott-
December 2006
Hello there everyone and happy holidays.
I was sitting here at the computer and wanted to go ahead and get the December News up before December was over so here it is. Merry Christmas to everyone and thanks for all
the prayers with respect to Reese this past year. He is doing very well and should be done with his treatment sometime in March.
Although, he likes being bald so he doesn't have to wash his hair. Leave it up to a 9 year old to find the good thing about a brain tumor.
We finished the first leg of our new film and it went wonderful. What a talented cast we've had on this new film. We shot for a couple weeks at
Virginia City and it was a great location to shoot a film. Everyone was so helpful and just brought a winning attitude to every shot and location.
I can't even begin to tell you how impressed we have been with everyone involved down to the Production Assistants. On one occasion, we had a production
assistant standing in and bouncing back and forth with three characters dialogue and it was just remarkable. One of our main cast members just decided
to not show up and one of the other girls just stepped in and took over the roll and it was like she was meant for the role. We had people hike in the
rain and snow, fall down over and over so we could get it right and even jump in icy waters. This stuff sounds pretty typical for a big budget Hollywood
film but it's very uncommon when actors are not getting paid up front and just doing it because they love the work and the project. At least I've never
experienced it to this level. So hats off to my cast and crew. It really was top notch. And to all the guys out there…it was a cast of super models.
These girls are beautiful and they can act!
There is still a few days left of shooting but that won't happen until sometime in January when the snow falls and those days are with all with hairy
dudes so it won't be near as exciting. For the most part, shooting is complete and it will soon be time to move on to the next project. Things here
at Sorry Dog will most likely move a little slower for this month just to get through the holidays and hopefully just enjoy some down time. If anyone
out there is thinking of sending a headshot and resume in for our next projects, now would be the time.
When we first started the news I'd sometimes go on a rant. It was fun but more often than not, it would cost me something somewhere down the line
because I would usually offend someone. So, I stopped ranting here on the site. Since it's the holidays I thought I could go into a small rant but
rather than bashing someone or trying to make someone feel like an idiot, I thought I might give some advice to some of you that I think it solid advice.
One time in the not so distant past, a friend of mine told me to make a list of friends. Either make that list in your head or possibly just write
down some names. Make a list of true friends and think about it. It didn't need to be friends I talked to every day or people that had given me something.
Just friends. Now there were numerous reasons for him saying make the list. My buddy actually ran with some pretty big people in the movie business and
his advice was more in line with making the list so that if I ever made it in the movie business it would be easier to know who was really a friend.
Nonetheless, making that list is a good thing. You may win the lottery tomorrow or get left a huge settlement or something. You might just want to think
about it for the heck of it.
I thought about it a while and had a decent list of people I would consider friends. Someone I might call and talk to once a year.
Someone I might never talk to but knew without a doubt I could call and they would be there even if it was at a cost to them. Then I did the opposite
thing and made a list of friends that were friends but with a cost. That one buddy who never seemed to pay for anything when we went out. That one
friend who always seemed to want me to drive. The friends who bought me a beer but then reminded me of it on the next round. "I bought the last one"
type friends. Friends who remind you of their birthday. The friend who comes to see you and drinks the last shot of tequila before you even have the
chance to offer. My point in all of this is that we all have many different types of friends. We all are very lucky if we have a handful of friends
in this world who fall into the first category I mention. I know it's a tough world and we all need to look out for number one but over the holidays
this season I suggest making a list of your friends. People who make a difference just by being the way they are. Who makes you a better person?
Who makes you worse? Who really cares about you and then who does a good job of selling it?
I'm not here to suggest that nobody in the world has any real friends. I'm just saying that you should give them a thought every once in a while and maybe try to get in touch with them when you have
some down time. More importantly, maybe making sure you are the type of friend who does something without having to have it done for you.
We all control the type of person we want to be whether we see it or not. We all can change and be better people. Maybe let someone in front of
you at the store or go ahead and give the last doll on the shelf to the other lady there in line. The other day there was this long line of traffic
on the interstate and I was coming up to the toll booth and there was this one car trying to get over and she was obviously a very bad driver
because I could see people trying to let her in but she just couldn't see. I slowed down and blinked my lights and finally after a few honks
from the cars behind me she let me in. I was kind of frustrated but I did my good deed. When I got up to the toll booth the lady in the booth
was waving me through. I cracked my window and she said for me to go on, the lady in front had paid my toll.
Sounds like one of these sappy chain letters but I'm here to tell you, there is something to it.
Thanks again for checking out the site and be sure to check back soon for more stuff here on the site.
Someone somewhere will be offended by what I've said and I'm sure we will read about it on the guest book. Some friend of mine who never did anything other than lie to me, take all the free beers,
free trips, and a host of other things. Then again, I might just end up with a lot of free beer this holiday.
All the best,
Scott-
October 2006
Hello everyone!
Sorry there hasn't been any new news for a little while, but we've been busy here at Sorry Dog Land.
Brent has once again made us painfully aware in our guest book that it is time for the news so here you go.
For the record, I don't know exactly what he is looking for with respect to help from the Virginia Law enforcement
community, but we want to assure the good people of Virginia that we have nothing to do with Brent and whatever it
is that he has done. However, we may use some of the funds from the sale of our t-shirts for his legal defense and expenses
at the Redskins game.
The new shirts are in! We've gotten many requests for t-shirts over the last year. There are soon going to be some other
items on the site, but for now, the new t-shirts are up and are for sale. We are asking $20 each but that also includes the
tax and the shipping charges so it's a pretty fair deal. They are tag-less Hanes shirts and the quality is very good.
You can also purchase two of our new short films under the "Buy Our Stuff" button, and we will soon have some really cool
sweatshirts and hats available as well.
Film news...We are ready to shoot our next film Sorority House Slaughter #7 and the location for that has been decided on.
We will be shooting the film where the old "Dry Gulch Junction" once was on Big Walker Mountain in Virginia.
Some of you remember it when it was there. It's now called "Virginia City" and we are very excited about this new film.
The owners and operators of the establishment have been a pleasure to work with, and if you've never been to this place,
it's a lot of fun to take your kids or just go spend the day. (Sounds like a commercial for them, huh?) In all seriousness,
Virginia City really is a very nice place just to go and check out. It also happens to be on one of the nicest drives you'll
ever come across on Route 52 taking you over the mountain. They close on October 31st so be sure to mark your calendar if
you are looking for a new place to enjoy the beauty of Autumn before Old Man Winter raises his snowy head. Also, be sure
to tell them that you heard about them from Sorry Dog, so they know we are getting the word out about their town there
on the side of the mountain. Aside from being a beautiful location, it's also going to be a great place to shoot a horror film and obviously
we are excited.
Some of the main cast for the new film has also been announced. We would like to welcome to the Dog Pound: Tonya Crews,
Michelle Lamelza, Jesalyn White, Suzanne Milton, Lesjune Dishman, Kerry Kearns, Amanda Yonkers, Natalia Papaconstandinou,
Loryn Powell, and Sona Smetanova. We still have a few more roles to cast but these are the newcomers to Sorry Dog and we
are really excited to be working with each one of these actors.
Well that's the news, check back with us in November for the latest updates on HURT and of the flesh.
Until then, be well, and stay out of trouble...Brent...
-Scott
PS From Kim:
For those of you who don't already know, Brent and Scott go way back.
He is like a brother to him, and has been a tremendous asset to Sorry Dog.
He made his acting debut in of the flesh, but has given us more fodder for movies based on his own personal exploits
than we can write about here. We love him and Lisa, his lovely and patient wife, dearly.
He's gained some stardom here in our guestbook, but we were already some of his biggest fans.
We salute you, Brent Hatfield, with a shot of tequila, and a shout out for the Redskins!!!
August 2006
Hello everyone! I suppose it's time for the August news so here we go. We have finished up the film "Of the Flesh" and now it's just a matter of waiting to get the copies back and we can begin the task of getting it into festivals and finding it a new home with a distributor. No new news with respect to the feature "HURT". It is still slated to make it's way out in stores in November and you will also be able to buy it along with our first film "Seven To Midnight" from this website and lots of places on the internet as well. We've posted some new photos on the website as well. There are some shots from "Of the flesh" and just some strange photos we decided to throw in as well in the new "mixed bag" section of the website. Some of the time we get some really strange stuff so we decided to start sharing this with all of you who come by the site and keep up with us. Actually our webmaster, Lady P, is hearing about the "mixed bag" section of the site just now so this news may actually be up before the new button is up. Let's just see how fast she really is. Paula also had a birthday this month. She is officially legal.
Reese is doing very well as is Livia (Liv) and thanks for all the prayers and nice things you e-mail us here at Sorry Dog. We really do appreciate all the kind words. Reese actually has some hair again and you'd never know all he's been through just looking at him. He's a remarkable kid whether he's mine or not. That sounded strange. He is mine but if he wasn't he'd still be pretty damn amazing. Think that clears it up.
We lost a member of the dog pound this week as well. His name was "Bear". Bear was 98 years old and will be missed by us all.
If you remember from past news, we lost Bird a few years ago as well. Being the site is called Sorry Dog;
you know I'm a fan of the canines so I just thought it appropriate to give him an old Sorry Dog farewell.
Now on to some new stuff. We have decided to start up another project and this one is shooting in the fall in southern WV. It's another good old-fashioned horror film and we are looking for all types of actors and extras. If you are interested, you can either e-mail us all your information at
sorrydogfilms@yahoo.com (notice that does not say the e-mail address here on the site) or you can drop everything in the mail and mail it to us here at:
Sorry Dog Productions, Inc.
P. O. Box 1266
Morgantown, WV 26507-1266
And I'll get it that way. We will be shooting in late October and we will get sides to anyone who'd like to audition via video as well. We'd prefer to have either digital 8, mini dv, or dvd's. Stay away from the 8mm because we can't view those. We are not set up for 8mm and it won't get seen at all. We are specifically seeking females that look 18 to 25 and those that are in great physical shape. Now we don't mean that you need to be an Olympic swimmer or a bathing suit model but we are looking for women who can be physical and move pretty well. We're looking for the same in our men. There are some character roles available as well so if you're not 18 to 25, have no worries. There are roles for other people as well and they are as varied as the people you meet on the street so please send in your headshot and resume. Be sure to list any strange talents you may have as well. The pay is deferred as usual but we do have some pretty big people lined up to look at this one and it won't be a waste of anyone's time. I know how many indie films end up being a waste of time and this one will get finished and be seen in many different places other than my personal television. "Hurt" has a worldwide distribution deal just as an FYI so it isn't wishful thinking. We've finally moved to the next level and each time it will be better and bigger.
We tend to offer the people that have worked with us the roles first so come take the ride with us and be a part of the team here at Sorry Dog. We will most likely have more information up here sooner than September because things are starting to pick up so be sure to check back for more information. Now, send in your headshots and let's go make a film. Thanks to everyone who posted on the Guest Book and thanks for all the nice phone calls this week. I look forward to working with all of you and I hope I can offer you something with Sorry Dog in return.
Best,
Scott-
JULY 2006
So it's summer news, since July is really half way over now. . .
Things are progressing very nicely on of the flesh, and we hope to have a final edit by early next week. The footage looks great, thanks to some top-notch actors from all over the East coast. We also had some great locations to work in as well. We got our first taste of the score from Attila Domos out of Pittsburgh, and it sounds terrific! It is all original work, and we are thrilled to have Attila on board composing. Check him out at www.attilasmusic.com.
Additionally, we are excited to be featuring the music of Boston's own Blue Moon Harem, found at www.bluemoonharem.com. Please lend your support to our fellow artists-in-crime, and check out their respective websites.
That's about it for now; we have many irons in the fire, and will keep everyone in the know as things become more concrete. Please keep checking back to the homepage, as we will soon have a trailer up for of the flesh, and will keep you all updated on the progress that HURT is making.
In the meantime, keep enjoying the summer weather, we're over half-way through this miserable heat, and we'll see you all in August!
All the best-
Scott
JUNE 2006
So it's been some time since we've had any news up here so I'll get right to it and let you in on what's happening in Sorry Dog Land.
Many of you send e-mails asking how Reese is doing and he is doing wonderfully. He and I made it as one of the finalists in the Tribeca Film Festival and that
was pretty exciting and things are moving along in his treatment. Thanks to everyone who has supported him and all of the family involved. Reese has most likely
handled this better than all of us adults. He just seems to motor through it all and he faces everything as a brave little man. It's very inspiring to say the least. Reese is down at the beach on a three-week
vacation from chemo-land and he is having a blast. He made it through the year in school and he's now on to the third grade. Thanks again for all the concern and prayers.
On the film front, we just wrapped production on a new project called "Of the Flesh" which had actors: Alan McClintock, Kathi Williams, Jeremy Ambler, Greg Mason, Laura Welsh,
Wofford Jones, Shane Willimon, Heather Blair, Laura Sciullo, Kara Haas, Michael Ciesla, John Iwanonkiw, Angela Summers, Kimberlee Gibson, Myself, and lastly, Brent Hatfield.
Yes, the same Brent Hatfield who stops by the guest book and flirts with the women in there. The same Brent that reminded me to finally change the news. The Brent Hatfield that
is one of my best friends on top of it all. "Of the Flesh" shot for 18 days and will be finished in editing hopefully by the end of the month here in June or by mid July.
We worked with numerous extras and everybody was really helpful with all the locations. We'd publicly like to thank "DJ's Diner" in Fairmont, and the restaurant we never
seem to get tired of working in, "Jimmies" in Princeton. Most of the other locations were around Morgantown, WV and Fairmont, WV and oddly enough, I'd say 90% of my people
were from out of the state. Not necessarily because we wanted it that way either. It just seemed that nobody in the state showed much interest in acting or auditioning.
We had actors from North Carolina, South Carolina, New York, Ohio, Virginia, and Pennsylvania involved. Just another great turnout for one of our films and we'd like to thank
everyone for being involved.
We found a home for "HURT" and have been told it will be released in October to jive with the Halloween months. There is some talk of certain channels picking it up and also some
talk on a pretty big video chain taking it on as well so we are very excited there. Can't talk too much about this stuff until it happens but we will certainly let everyone know.
Auditions for our next project will start next month and we will have things posted here very soon on the audition information. We are going to be casting for a couple short films
as well as a new feature. We are trying to put something together in Illinois and we are working with our long time friend Doug Pfeifer on this project so those of you in the Chicago area,
send us your stuff and we'll be sure to get in touch with you soon.
Also be sure and check the main page for the new "Of the Flesh" button where we will soon have some production photos
as well as a trailer for the new project and bios and cast information. We are also planning a screening so be sure to check back for that information as well. We hope to screen it somewhere
in the Charleston / Morgantown areas as soon as we have a cut to screen.
That's about it for the news. Since things are starting to move a bit faster nowadays here at Sorry Dog, we anticipate having more and more news much more frequently so be sure and check back
and see what's new here. We welcome suggestions to make the site better as well. If you have ideas and suggestions, be sure to just e-mail them to us. One suggestion came in the form of a website
www.killsometime.com we should check out and it was at
and we found it very interesting so check it out if you're just looking to "kill some time".
Thanks again for checking out the site and we hope there has been something here that made the stop worthwhile.
All the best.
Scott-
MARCH 2006
So March is here. Been a long month of February with lots of things happening, most of which would be considered pretty depressing. Thanks to everyone who has sent in prayers and just words of encouragement. I participated in an event last year in Chicago where there was this huge walk for cancer and made the comment that "the disease hadn't really hit my family" and in the month of February it has slammed us here at Sorry Dog twice which prompted the new motto of Sorry Dog where "The size of the Dog in the fight is not important" and you know the rest. Thanks again to everyone who has been there for this last month.
Everyone from the kids at Princeton Primary school to the quiet team of Heather and Rossi, my parents, and a team of neurosurgeons who literally opened my kids head up and took out something the size of a small orange. We at Sorry Dog Salute you! AND we thank all the others not mentioned here such as Brent, Tina, Dave, Mary, Jean, Amy, Tony, Rosie, Josh, Wayne, Doug, Tracy, Greg, Michelle, Seth, Stu, John, Sonny, Harriet, Lisa, and on and on. Sounds like I'm looking in the mirror and saying goodnight to all the children like the old TV show. Also, I almost forgot, wanted to really thank the strippers that were there for Reese when he left the hospital, he really enjoyed the show...
On the Sorry Dog slate is a new project for the Spring so we are back to accepting resumes and headshots from any and all who want to be involved. Can't let something like this bring us down and Reese has now joined the Sorry Dog team shooting his own documentary with his very own camera which will follow the course of a years worth of treatment.
Be sure and send in your info to either 5502 Ellsworth Avenue, Pittsburgh PA, 15232 or to the WV address at 505 Bluefield Avenue, Princeton WV 24740. That's about it for now and we hope and will have more news here very soon. The new trailers for the new projects are coming and the website main page is getting ready for a facelift so be sure and check back to check us out.
Thanks again.
JANUARY 2006
Hi everyone. Seems like I start all the news stories like this. I say Hi to everyone as if everyone reads my news. I was thinking about all the news stories here and there and how it's always depressing so I thought I'd share a story that we all might be able to relate to in one way or another.
We all watch the news and we all are aware of all the terrible things that happen in the world. There is a war going on, terrorism seems to be everywhere, and then there was the hurricane in New Orleans. I get requests all the time from actors here and there who ask if we represent actors or if we are just a Production Company. While we do have a big pool of actors we work from we don't represent them and this leads me to my news. My agent, the woman that represents me when I do other projects is from New Orleans. My intentions were to eventually move down there and work from the south as opposed to this cold weather and when the hurricane hit, it kinda delayed those plans for a while. There was a posting I received from her a few days ago and it just really made me see what kind of person I was dealing with and I thought "Why not make that my news?" Sorry Dog has lots going on and while we are gearing up for either "The Alderson Mile" or "The AA Highway" in the Spring, it just felt right to make this our news and pass on some good news from New Orleans.
My agent's name is Tosha Horne and she runs a small talent agency called the Talent Connexion. Tosha and her husband William lost almost everything in the hurricane and were forced out of town with their children eventually making it to New York and setting up shop there while their home is being rebuilt and the city tries to get things back together. While I didn't pry and ask all the questions I wanted to ask, I was made aware of some of the horrible things she and her family had to endure and just see. I'd imagine how losing everything would be and even in doing that, the best I could do was imagine. Heck, I was furious one time when someone stole the battery out of my car. I yelled at someone for cutting me off in traffic the other day and I complained the other day because my house needed some work done and it was raining and I couldn't go outside to do it. I know we never stop complaining about things and I'd bet that even Tosha will complain about some things there in the ever so friendly New York but her note did give me a moment of pause and I just wanted to share that with you. So, here's the note..
GREETINGS ALL!--
Despite everything that we have all went through, New Orleans is still on top. This will be a big month for New Orleans as far as the Entertainment Industry is concerned. Three studio films coming out this month that are huge films and Talent Connexion is represented in each one of them. More movies are expected to film in New Orleans, and I know that we will all be a part of it.
This Friday, January 13th Last Holiday comes out with our very own Jaqueline Fleming. Well Jaq is back in LA, but we are very proud that she represented New Orleans and The Talent Connexion in a very big way last year. She stars at Queen Lafitah's little sister, Georgia Byrd. Also representing in this film is Chloe and Halle Bailey who plays Jaq's little kids. Please support this film.
Also, this Friday Glory Road comes out. I don't know how you are going to do it, but you have to. Just call it the Talent Connexion day and have a day at the movies. Tobi Gadison and Pat Hazell are two remarkable actors that are featured in this film. They both have substantial roles and are very talent actors in and out of this film.
On January 27th, Big Momma's House 2 comes out. In this film, our actors are Donna Duplantier, Ameer Baraka and Samantha Beaulieu. I can't wait to see this film...not only because I know that this film will be funny, but Donna, Ameer and Sam are actors that I truly admire and are pleased to represent.
Please also put on your calendar to see the new movie "End of the Spear." I have not seen this, but I hear that this will be a movie for all to see. So please go out and see this movie on January 20th. A big Congrats goes out to all these people and also the talented actress Maria Soccor who is also one of my best friends who had a second callback on The Rocky Balboa film and for just starring in Jersey Justice with Blanche Baker.
Now that it is 2006, please keep in mind that New Orleans is everyone's home and it is coming back stronger than ever. Some of us lost so much and gained so little, but it is important to be mindful that through all of this, prayer is the one thing that holds everyone and everything together. I miss you all and through this, we will survive. I am asking that you all support the making of these films that exposes the real beauty of New Orleans.
Love YA!!!!!!
Tosha Horne
Talent Connexion LLC
We'll post the info on Hurt as soon as we get back the facts and we will start the auditions for our other
projects here very soon so be sure and check back for audition information as well. As far as Tosha and the news is concerned, I've never heard her complain once about all that happened to her and something just told me to pass it along.
Happy New Year everyone. A good one for the dog. Someone said the Chinese calendar calls 2006 the "Year of the Dog". RIGHT ON!

DECEMBER 2005
Merry Christmas everyone! I thought since it was December, we might as well get started on some Christmas cheer and wish everyone a Merry Christmas early. A few things I wanted to mention that are getting some space on the forum. I've been getting quite a few e-mails of people asking me where they can buy music from Blue Moon Harem. The answer is from their website. You can buy the CD from them on their site and it's a great CD. Some of you were looking for it in stores and I don't think it's available there yet. Hopefully it will be soon but until then, just buy it from them direct. Ask nice and Bix has promised to send some sexy photos in the CD for your enjoyment.
We've also had some good ideas and suggestions on the site for subject matter for some of our projects including some rather heated conversation on Jack Whittaker. We like your comments and suggestions so keep them coming. To those of you reading this I'd like to ask a few questions and have you post some answers on the guest book if you have time. My first question is "Would you go see a film done on Jack Whittaker?" and my next question is "Where are you currently living?" I'm curious if Jack is as well known in other states as he is here in WV. Any comments are appreciated and we value your feedback. While we may not agree with what you say, we do like to know your thoughts and hear what you have to say.
Many of you have submitted a headshot and resume so thanks for submitting your materials and know we will get back with you as soon as we start actually casting our projects. A big thanks goes out to Josh Lasker who wrote the little bit at the bottom of the main web page letting everyone know where the name Sorry Dog is from. Now we are safe when someone tries to claim they started the name. We also would like everyone in Bluefield to know where the name is from so that the lawsuits and harassment from the local police can now be directed to the appropriate people. "We did not burn down those houses for once and for all."
"HURT" is getting ready to make its debut in the film festivals and in the market so keep your fingers crossed there as well. As always, we appreciate your feedback and any information you may have for us. We try to stay independent in everything we do while we hope for the corporate buy on our films if that even makes sense. Sounds like we're ready to sell out huh? There are a few of our short films getting ready to be available on a few different short film"" as well here on the site so when that link gets up be sure to check out the things we have for sale (some very twisted and funny things).
That's about it and we appreciate you coming by the site to check us out. Be sure to check back from time to time and just see what we have going on. Many thanks to Paula who does our entire website stuff. Our news is always about what is coming or what is about to change on the site and we just always want to publicly thank her because the site is constantly changing and she is doing all the changes.

NOVEMBER, 2005
So we've had the site online now for a little over a week and it feels kinda stupid putting something new up in terms of news but there's always news with Sorry Dog. First of all we start filming "AA Highway" finally after all these months. We start filming on Friday November the 4th in Morgantown, WV starting at the Hotel Morgan. We are bringing a few newcomers into the group by the names of Laura Sciullo and Molly Donellan. We are excited to be working with both of these actors and we start the film off working with them. We shoot all day Saturday as well and then we go to the edit room for a week and start the following week on the 22 day shoot. Some interesting news on the Documentary front as well but nothing locked in so we can't really inform you on what's happening there until next month.
If you're wondering who is doing the web page design, it is Paula Panagopoulos. Be sure to check out her link on the home page feeling free to e-mail her from our contacts page if, in fact, she's gotten around to adding her name and e-mail address up there as our web master. Should that be Web Mistress or Web Woman? Who knows, nonetheless, we are lucky to have her and we wanted to publicly say that so she knows her efforts have been and are appreciated.
There were a few e-mails that made it to me and some of you wanted to know more information on how to get involved in acting. I can't really say how you get involved other than saying you just go out there and find information and start doing it. Join a community theatre, volunteer with Sorry Dog or just go and take a class somewhere. We started Sorry Dog because we wanted to do our own films. Some of the stuff we started doing at first was terrible and we've had more failures that successes but we are here and we keep on moving forward. Just go act and learn. Everybody always says they wanted to do this or that and let me tell you, Listen up here..."You get one shot." If you want to be an actor, then go be an actor. We'll certainly let you work with us, we might not pay you but you can work with us.
A few other people have asked if we were interested in doing other people's ideas and let me say that for the most part, Jim and myself do our own things and try our best to do projects that we have created. Sure, we read other people's scripts and we have some terrific pieces that we'd like to do but most of the time our projects are projects that fall on the smaller scale whereas some of the projects submitted are huge with lots of special f/x and suggested cast members of Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts. Please keep that in mind when submitting. Of course we will help and try and get your work out there but we are small. We don't try and pass ourselves off as some big studio. Hopefully Sorry Dog will get to that point but that's not why we are here or why you are spending time reading our news.
Lastly we'd like to thank all of you for supporting us and just taking the time to write on the guest book and signing in. It does let us know you were here and we appreciate the feedback. Especially the good stuff. We haven't had too much negative stuff yet and rest assure we leave the bad stuff up there as well. We're not here for an ego boost or to feel like we are stars (although it does boost our ego when you say good things) but rather here to try and have something creative, fun, and informative. Most people think we are nuts when we say we are a Production Company doing small films in WV. Well, that's exactly what we are. Hopefully this site allows people to be a little more informed and see we are doing things, and not just talking a good game.
Please continue to post on the guest book and sign up to be on the mailing list as soon as Lady P gets it up. Strange huh, we all go by different names...Sonny is Wayne and Lady P is Paula. Jim and I are lucky to have all of these people here and we are glad you took the time to come by our site and check us out. Hopefully it will just get better. Scott and Jim- or James as some people call him.

OCTOBER, 2005
Hi everyone! It's been a while since Sorry Dog was up and running full force and I wanted
to take a moment and get everyone up to speed with what is happening with Sorry Dog.
First of all, we finished our film "Seven To Midnight" some time ago and it exceeded our
expectations by a long shot. The film was shown in numerous festivals and much more
information can be found on the web just by typing in the name and hitting search on your
computer. We also just finished up Production on the feature film "HURT" which took over
two years to get in the can.
It's ready to make the festival rounds and hopefully you'll be seeing it up on the big
screen here in the very near future. Be sure to check out the trailer for the film here
on the site and give us some feedback as to whether it works for you or not.
We also have
just finished up a series of short films that started back in the Summer. You should be
able to view some of these on line here very soon as well. As for what we are getting
ready to start, we have more than one project getting ready to go. We finally are going
to do the "AA Highway" so if you're interested in being a part of that project, all you
need to do is look under the Casting button and there is information on how and where to
submit your materials. Please do not e-mail us photos unless they are nude photos. We
have limited amounts of space in out e-mail accounts and just don't want to spend all day
downloading headshots. Nudes are fine and I'm talking about females as well.
Actually we aren't looking for nude models but I thought it might be funny. We will shoot
"AA" in and around West Virginia in the Morgantown and Bluefield areas as well. The "AA
Highway" isn't the only thing we are doing.
We are working on a documentary film here in
West Virginia and in Chicago next week working on another one of those short films. The
point is, we are busy and we'd like anyone who wants to be a part of it, come and join
the team.
A few new additions to the Sorry Dog Team. Jeff Travers is now our still photographer and
you can see some of his work in the Production Photos section. Jeff is very much a team
player and we are lucky to have him. Another team player who joined us is Producer Wayne
Kendall who affectionately here at the office goes by the name Sonny Wayne. Yes, he has
been told this sounds like a porno star. Nonetheless, it's his handle and it seems to
work. Actually now that I think about it, maybe that's why we get nude shots in the mail
all the time. Wayne, or should I say Sonny, actually brought us a music and sound man in
the body of one David Spargur from Kankakee, IL and David then brought us a graphic
designer by the name of Pilar Acevedo who also happens to be his wife. We still
work with out cast members Greg Mason, Alan McClintock, and Jeanie Cheek and we
have a few new faces you'll soon see as well.
At the time of the Sorry Dog Crash last year, we were getting hundreds of hits
to the site on a daily basis and we are sorry for falling off the face of the
earth. Please bear with us on our new site construction and feel free to post in
the forum and chat rooms whenever the urge hits you and be sure to check back
for updates because now that we are back up and running, they will be posted
often. Once again, thanks for visiting and we hope you enjoy the new Sorry Dog
Site.
